Terms of service

Last updated: April 19, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using Chronos, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and any organization you represent. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The service

Chronos provides a workforce platform covering learning, hiring, and compliance workflows. Features and limits depend on the subscription plan selected at purchase.

3. Account responsibility

You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential, for the activity of users under your account, and for ensuring learners consent to the data collection required by the features you enable.

4. Acceptable use

You may not: (a) use Chronos to violate any law; (b) upload malware; (c) scrape or reverse-engineer the service; (d) resell access without written permission; (e) send spam through Chronos mail systems; (f) use assessment features to discriminate unlawfully.

5. Intellectual property

Chronos retains ownership of the platform and source code. You retain ownership of all content you upload — courses, assessments, learner records, branding. We claim a limited license to host and display that content solely to operate the service.

6. Fees & billing

Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually in advance. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing with 60 days' notice for renewals.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate for material breach uncured after 30 days. On termination, we'll give you 30 days to export your data, after which we delete it. Workforce plan customers with regulatory retention requirements can negotiate extended retention windows in their order form.

8. Warranties

Chronos is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those granted by law. We don't warrant uninterrupted service, though we target 99.9% uptime for hosted plans and publish status at status.itschronos.com.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages.

10. Compliance

Chronos provides tools to help you meet compliance obligations (RAPIDS, PIRL, OSHA, etc.). Meeting those obligations remains your responsibility. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.

11. Changes to terms

Material changes will be emailed to account administrators at least 30 days before taking effect.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified on your order form, with disputes resolved by arbitration unless prohibited by law.
